Terms & Conditions for the Power Draw Monthly Prize Draw

These are the terms and conditions (“Terms”) for Pulse Energy Alliance LP’s “Power Draw Monthly Prize Draw” (“Prize Draw”). By entering and accepting any prize, you agree to the following Terms. If you choose not to agree to these Terms, we reserve the right to draw another prize winner.

1. Promoter

• The Prize Draw is promoted by Pulse Energy Alliance LP (“Pulse Energy”). Pulse Energy, Grey Power Electricity, Just Energy and Pioneer Energy Retail are trading names of Pulse Energy

2. Eligibility

• The Prize Draw is open to all active customers of Pulse Energy, Grey Power Electricity, Just Energy or Pioneer Energy Retail who meet the eligibility criteria outlined below and are not excluded (as outlined below).
• Pulse Energy staff are eligible to enter the Prize Draw provided they are active customers of Pulse Energy, Grey Power Electricity, Just Energy or Pioneer Energy Retail and meet all other standard eligibility criteria.

3. Prize Draw Entry Criteria

To qualify for an entry into the Prize Draw, a customer must have an active account with Pulse Energy, Grey Power Electricity, Just Energy or Pioneer Energy Retail and be over the age of 18. Active customers will receive one entry per active account each month. Customers are eligible for additional entries in the Prize Draw based on the below:

• Years as a Customer: One additional entry for each full year the customer has been with us. For example, if a customer has been with Grey Power Electricity for three full years, the customer will receive three additional entries into the Prize Draw.
• My Account Registration: One additional entry per active account that is registered for My Account.
• Online Billing Registration: One additional entry per active account that is registered for Online Billing.

4. Prize Draw Details

• The Power Draw Monthly Prize Draw will operate on a monthly basis. Each month represents a separate Prize Draw, with each promotional period commencing at 00.01am on the first day of the month and closing at 11.59pm on the last day of the month. For example, entries for one month, such as for April's Power Draw, will not carry over to the following month’s May Power Draw. Each month will be treated as a new and distinct Prize Draw.
• The Prize Draw will take place on or around the 1st day of the following month.
• Winners will be drawn at random from all eligible entries during the month.
• Winners will be notified after the Prize Draw on their next bill and will be contacted by email or SMS using the contact details associated with their account.

5. Prize Credit and Application

a) Prize Credit: Each month, eligible customers will go in the Prize Draw to win one of the following electricity credits from the monthly prize pool. The credits include GST.

b) Prize Application

• Each customer is eligible to win only one prize per draw per month.
• The prize for the monthly draw will be credited to the winners’ electricity accounts after the relevant Prize Draw.
• The prize details, including the value, will be communicated to the winner(s) on their next bill.
• Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.
• If a winner moves house, the credit can be transferred to the customer’s new address if they sign up their home to Pulse Energy, Grey Power Electricity, Just Energy or Pioneer Energy Retail.
• If a winner cancels or closes their account before the electricity credit is applied or used, the value of the credit will be forfeited and not be applied to their final bill. Any unused credit at the time the account is closed will not be paid out to the winner.

6. Exclusions of the Prize Draw

• Business customers are not eligible for the Prize Draw.
• Customers who have cancelled or closed their electricity account are not eligible for the Prize Draw.
• Pulse Energy staff who are directly involved in administering or overseeing the promotion are not eligible for the Prize Draw.

7. Cancellation or Modification of the Prize Draw

• Pulse Energy reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Prize Draw at any time, without prior notice. Pulse Energy also reserves the right to amend or update these Terms, including the Prize Draw eligibility criteria at any time, without notice to customers, provided however any changes to the Prize Draw eligibility criteria will not take effect during an active promotional period and will only apply from the start of the next promotional period.

8. Disqualification

• Pulse Energy reserves the right to disqualify any customer found to be violating the Terms of the Prize Draw, engaging in fraudulent behaviour, or tampering with the entry process.

9. General Terms

• By participating in the Prize Draw, customers agree to be bound by these Terms. If a customer does not wish to participate or accept a prize, they must notify Pulse Energy in writing before the prize is awarded. In such cases, an alternative winner will be selected. Pulse Energy reserves the right to modify or cancel the Prize Draw at any time.
• The decision of Pulse Energy regarding the Prize Draw winner(s) is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
• Pulse Energy is not responsible for any issues or errors relating to the entry process, including but not limited to technical issues or any problems with customer eligibility.

• Pulse Energy accepts no liability for any loss or damage that may arise from participation in the Prize Draw or from winning - or failing to win - any prize.

10. Privacy and Personal Information Protection

• Pulse Energy will handle all customer personal information collected and used for the Prize Draw by Pulse Energy’s Privacy Policy at https://greypowerelectricity.co.nz/privacy-policy/
• In addition, winners’ first and last names may be used by Pulse Energy for publicity purposes relating to the Prize Draw. If a winner does not wish to be named in publicity relating to the Prize Draw, they must notify Pulse Energy in writing before the prize is awarded. In such cases, Pulse Energy may select an alternative winner.

11. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes arising from participation in the Prize Draw will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
