Changes to Your Plan

We are proud that we continue to offer Grey Power members a good deal on their electricity, gas, and now broadband and landline phone services. We have been able to keep the Price Protection Rate for Energy the same since Grey Power Electricity started 7 years ago.

From 1 April 2021, there will be an increase in the Energy Rate which applies to your plan.  You can rest assured that your Energy Rate remains competitive in the market and has Price Protection¹ until 1 April 2023.

Any applicable changes to network services, energy or gas charges will be available to view through the form below from 15 February 2021.

Network Services

As part of the Grey Power Plan, we commit to flowing through Network Services Charges with no markup². From 1 April 2021, the Network Services Charges for your property may go up, down or remain the same depending on where you live in the country.

Credit Card Surcharge Fee

The Credit and Debit card surcharge fee will increase to 1.5% for payments made by Mastercard and Visa from 1 April 2021. We have a number of payment options available to our customers which can be found here.

Last year we joined forces with some of our customers to start a Pay it Forward Programme. Established during our nationwide lockdown in 2020 and designed to support families experiencing energy hardship, the Pay it Forward Programme has already helped hundreds of families across New Zealand with their power bills.
